Planning and Preparing to Vote, a presentation offered October 12, 2020, by the Tecumseh/Lenawee County Chapter of the League of Women Voters, offers vital voter information for the upcoming general election. In English with a Spanish translation, the presentation covers various ways to register to vote; options for voting, by mail or in person; and details of the ballots. The presentation was sponsored by the Adrian Dominican Sisters Office of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation and live streamed via Weber Retreat and Conference Center.  

 

 


October 15, 2020, Adrian, Michigan – Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ, author of Dead Man Walking, offers a live stream presentation on the death penalty. “Dead Man Walking: The Journey Continues” is from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. EST Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Sister Helen’s 1993 book, Dead Man Walking, tells of her experience of journeying with a man on death row. An advocate for the end of the death penalty, she has been instrumental in sparking national dialogue on capital punishment and on shaping the Catholic Church’s opposition to all executions.
