April 4, 2016, Frankfort, Illinois – Sister Nancy Murray, OP, helped the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart to celebrate their 150th anniversary with her one-woman portrayal of Sister Dorothy Stang. She has portrayed Sister Dorothy, a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, nearly 50 times, bringing to life the woman’s dedication to the people of the Amazon and to Earth and her resulting martyrdom. June 2, 2015, Indianapolis, Indiana – Sister Nancy Murray, who has spent years portraying Dominican St. Catherine of Siena in her one-woman traveling show, reflects on her portrayal of a more modern woman – Notre Dame de Namur Sister Dorothy Stang.
