Specify Alternate Text

February 18, 2019, Adrian, Michigan – A photography exhibit, Quiet Moments, runs from Friday, March 1, 2019, through Thursday, June 27, 2019, at INAI: A Space Apart, an art gallery and meditation space adjacent to Weber Retreat and Conference Center. An artists’ reception is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019.

In Quiet Moments, photographers Scott Miller and Elaina Robinson offer their experiences of quiet moments, using their cameras to illustrate special times of stillness, observation, and oneness of nature.

Scott Miller, videographer in the Communications Office of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, is a local artist specializing in digital imagery and cinematography. His passion is to guide his audience to see and experience quiet moments in the significant yet overlooked simplicity of God’s fingerprints that he sees all around him.

Elaina Robinson grew up in a rural area on a dirt road near Adrian and felt those landscapes as part of her soul. The images in this series of black and white photos show the power of place as she came to know it with the camera. Her exhibit in Quiet Moments is her senior project for Siena Heights University, where she is majoring in business and minoring in photography.

INAI (pronounced in-EYE), meaning “within” in Japanese, is a contemplative space and art gallery that resonates with the Adrian Dominican Sisters’ mission to seek truth, make peace, and respect life. It houses an art gallery, as well as a quiet space for personal reflection and meditation. INAI: A Space Apart is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

All are invited free of charge to visit INAI: A Space Apart and to enjoy Quiet Moments
