August 11, 2015, Adrian, Michigan – Two videos capture the solemnity of an observance on August 6 of the one-year anniversary of the flight from their convents of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena of Iraq, on the heels of an attack by ISIS. The first video, "1000 Cranes for Iraq" (14 minutes), is of the gathering in front of the Motherhouse, where Sister Attracta Kelly, OP, Prioress for the Adrian Dominican Sisters, calls for a moment of silence and then reads a recent letter written by Sister Maria Hanna, OP, Prioress of the Iraqi Dominican Sisters, describing their plight. The video is interspersed with images of Iraqi refugees.

The second video is of the Prayer for Peace in St. Catherine Chapel, approximately 30 minutes. Afterwards attendees viewed the poignant artwork created by Iraqi children in refugee camps and filled out postcards asking Sec. John Kerry to make Iraqi relief efforts a priority.
