Pray with Us

Spiritual Life

The spiritual life of the Adrian Dominican Sisters on the Motherhouse campus revolves daily around individual prayer and contemplation and common liturgies, including Morning Prayer, Mass, and Vespers. Reconciliation, communal anointing, and other sacramental celebrations grace our calendars, as do Feast Day celebrations.

In addition, retreats, meditations, celebrations of Earth’s movements through equinoxes and solstices, and other forms of prayer and mindfulness are celebrated.

The grounds of the Motherhouse also offer lovely places for prayer and contemplation, including the Weber Garden, the Chartres Cathedral-style labyrinth, the Cosmic Walk/Nature Path, and Congregation cemetery.

Contemplative Sitting

As a community, we encourage Sisters, Associates, and Co-workers to spend time individually or communally in a contemplative sitting practice the first Sunday of each month. We invite you to share in our common intention with this reflection: December 2021 Contemplative Sitting (PDF)
