At the Adrian Dominican Sisters, we intentionally use the term “Co-worker” instead of the usual term, "employee." By performing the duties associated with their positions, our Co-workers contribute to the common effort we all make to advance the Mission of the Congregation and to create the best possible environment for the Sisters who live and minister here, as well as for all of us who have accepted employment on campus. The work that each Co-worker performs and the gifts that he or she brings to the job have great value. Together, we all share in the opportunity to make good things happen through our combined efforts.
The Adrian Dominican Sisters, in partnership with Co-workers, carries on the mission of God’s compassionate love for the world with awareness of the special dimensions of justice and peace. We value and strive to create a work environment that upholds:
Human Dignity—respect and reverence for individual differences, the innate goodness of co-workers and their desire for full personhood.
Community—an environment where faith and life can be shared, relationships fostered and creative energies promoted for desired outcomes.
Value of work—as co-creators, work becomes a creative process of providing quality services in a caring manner, enhancing each person’s own personal development.
Inclusiveness—a workplace where we call one another to a wider vision and appreciation of the competencies and contributions of people of different races and cultural backgrounds.
Collaboration—shared ministry at all levels in mutually respectful relationships, structures, policies and operations.
Stewardship—faithful oversight of both human and financial resources that we hold in trust for the common good.

Adrian Dominican Sisters Partners in Mission Statement created and embraced by co-workers:
In the mission of Jesus we are together as partners as we discover and identify ourselves as co-workers called together to share faith and life with one another and sent into our families, communities, neighborhoods and world to be with others bearers and recipients of God’s love co-creators of God’s justice and peace. —November 29, 1994
