May 28, 2019, Adrian, Michigan – In response to recent concerns about the quality of water in Lenawee County, Michigan, Pam Taylor of Environmentally Concerned Citizens of South Central Michigan gave a presentation on water quality May 14 at Weber Retreat and Conference Center. Pam spoke of various practices that can affect the safety and quality of water, such as the use of concentrated animal feeding operations and fertilizers and encouraged local citizens to be advocates for clean, safe water. May 22, 2019 – [CANCELED - WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A FUTURE DATE!] Using a combination of mindfulness, yoga, reflection, and presentations on neuroscience and spirituality, Anne Kertz Kernion presents a mini-retreat, Spirituality and Science, at Weber Retreat and Conference Center. The retreat is offered from 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 through 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019.
The founder of Cards by Anne, an inspirational greeting card company, Anne draws on her expertise in science and theology to inform and enrich the daily lives of retreatants, especially their spiritual practices. A certified yoga instructor and meditation practitioner, Anne also holds degrees in science and theology and has taught courses in chemistry, environmental science, and world religions.
The cost is $40 for commuters, $75 per person for double occupancy, and $125 single occupancy.
