August 23, 2024, Adrian, Michigan – Weber Retreat and Conference Center’s Fall 2024 Lunch and Learn series is offered monthly on Wednesdays from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Dates and topics this season are:

•    The History of Lenawee County, September 18, 2024. Howard Pennington, the descendant of early settlers of Lenawee County who has studied the history of the county, will offer information you never knew. The retired veterinarian recently gave a similar presentation to the Lenawee Historical Society.

•    Life in the Quaker Tradition, October 16, 2024. Pamela Daub, a lifetime Quaker, will share the history and lifestyle of Quakerism.

•    Christmas Open House, November 13, 2024. Enjoy a preview of the unique gifts and cards in stock for the holidays at the Weber Center Shop. The program includes refreshments, door prizes, and a raffle. The Christmas Open House is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday, November 13-16, 2024. 

Bring your own lunch and enjoy drinks and dessert provided by Weber Center. You may also purchase a lunch ($7), with a choice of egg salad, turkey salad, or chicken salad croissant sandwiches and chips. If ordering a lunch, please register at least two days in advance by calling 517-266-4000 or emailing [email protected]. Registration is not necessary for those who bring their own lunch.  


August 23, 2024, Adrian, Michigan – As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in September, Ben Negron, a local leader and activist, shares the impactful history made by Hispanics in the Adrian area, as well as the rich and proud Hispanic culture. Ben’s presentation is at noon on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Weber Retreat and Conference Center on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse. The presentation is also available via livestream at https://www.adriandominicans.org/Live-Stream.

The program, which is free and open to the public, is organized by Kevin Hofmann, Director of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Office of Racial Equity and Cultural Inclusion. 

Weber Center is on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse, Adrian, Michigan. Traveling east on Siena Heights Drive, pass the Adrian Rea Literacy Center and turn left just before the solar panel-covered carport. Follow the signs to Weber Center.
