April 20, 2020, Adrian, Michigan – UPDATE: Mindful Pause will move to once per week starting the week of May 25, 2020 (Memorial Day).
Looking for some peacefulness during these chaotic and unprecedented days? Weber Retreat and Conference Center is offering free, online mindfulness sessions with Sister Esther Kennedy, OP.
Sister Esther, an Adrian Dominican Sister, is a retreat leader and spiritual director. While in-person gatherings have been suspended, she is offering her popular program online. A new half-hour Mindful Pause episode is recorded and posted to the Weber Center website twice each week. New recordings are available on Tuesdays and Fridays. February 26, 2020, Adrian, Michigan – If you’ve ever longed to be an artist, Weber Retreat and Conference Center offers an opportunity for you to work toward this dream. Finding the Artist in You: Painting and Mixed Media Classes are offered from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 26; April 2, 16, 23, and 30; and May 7, 2020, in the INAI Art Room adjacent to Weber Center. The class will not meet on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Brenda Singletary, MFA, Director of the Art Factory in Adrian, teaches the classes and says of her students, “I want them to hear their own voice that is original and true.”
The cost of $110 includes acrylic paints, two canvases, two Bristol boards, plaster, brushes, drawing tools, drawing paper, masking tape, and water containers.
