August 23, 2024, Adrian, Michigan – As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in September, Ben Negron, a local leader and activist, shares the impactful history made by Hispanics in the Adrian area, as well as the rich and proud Hispanic culture. Ben’s presentation is at noon on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Weber Retreat and Conference Center on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse. The presentation is also available via livestream at https://www.adriandominicans.org/Live-Stream.

The program, which is free and open to the public, is organized by Kevin Hofmann, Director of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Office of Racial Equity and Cultural Inclusion. 

Weber Center is on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse, Adrian, Michigan. Traveling east on Siena Heights Drive, pass the Adrian Rea Literacy Center and turn left just before the solar panel-covered carport. Follow the signs to Weber Center. August 23, 2024, Adrian, Michigan – Sister Sharon Zayac, OP, a Dominican Sister of Springfield, offers a retreat on Evolution: A Spiritual Journey from 6:30 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024, through 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Weber Retreat and Conference Center.

We are in the midst of a cosmic shift in understanding who we are as persons, as people of faith, and as a human species. Sister Sharon will explore this newly emerging consciousness, what it teaches us about who we are, how we are related to the whole, and how we image Holy Mystery.

Sister Sharon shares from her passion about the cosmic creation story and its implications for life and faith. She is the author of Earth Spirituality in the Catholic and Dominican Tradition, and co-wrote Science and Christ: A Dialogue with Richard Chiola, PhD.
