Hands-on Workshop to Help New Gardeners

April 12, 2018, Adrian, Michigan – If you have never gardened but would love to get started, an upcoming hands-on workshop may be just what you need. Elaine Johnson, Permaculture Specialist for the Adrian Dominican Sisters, will offer the Beginners Gardener Workshop from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Adrian District Library.

This free session will provide tips in such areas as seeds, plant selection, garden planning, ways to grow healthy plants, trouble-shooting, and soil health. Participants will receive complimentary seeds and resources to help them get started.

What a wonderful idea! I just love that this is a way to introduce "wannabe gardeners" to the joys of gardening.
