October 9, 2015, Wilmette, Illinois – The Wilmette [Illinois] Beacon focuses on the experience of Sister Donna Markham, OP, PhD, during the historic visit of Pope Francis to the United States in late September. Sister Donna – former Prioress of the Adrian Dominican Sisters and alumna of Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette – attended many of the events of the Pope’s visit in Washington, DC and New York as the new President and CEO of Catholic Charities USA. Donna, Thank you for representing all of us during the Papal visit. It was a time of joy and hope for the future of women in the Church.
