March 13, 2017, Juarez, Mexico – In a Mexican border town well known for its violence, Sister Maureen Gallagher, OP, works with women in a sewing co-op, helping them to market their products. Sister Maureen ministers at Centro Santa Catalina, a center for women founded by the late Sister Donna Kustusch, OP. Sister Maureen’s goal is to teach the women to operate their own co-op so they can be self-sufficient.
