October 8, 2019, Detroit, Michigan – Sister Nancyann Turner, OP, who recently retired from her 20-year ministry at the Rosa Parks Children’s and Youth Program at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, is featured in a video celebrating the soup kitchen’s “90 years of service in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.” Sister Nancyann first appears about three and a half minutes into the video, describing the soup kitchen’s many programs to “enhance the lives” of the children and their families of the local area. She appears later – six minutes into the video – and later is described by a young mother as a person who made a difference in her life as a child. Watch the video.
