Sister Sharon Park’s Lobbying Brings Catholic Social Teachings to Political Arena

July 5, 2017, Olympia, Washington – Through nearly 40 years of service to the Washington State Catholic Conference (WSCC), Sister Sharon Park, OP, has made great strides in bringing the vision of Catholic social teaching to the Washington state legislature. Sister Sharon’s involvement in social justice brought her from membership in the social justice committee of the Sisters’ Council to the position of Executive Director of the WSCC, the voice of the Catholic Bishops of Washington State.
