The Adrian Dominican Sisters Our Lady of Remedies Mission Chapter joyfully celebrated their 60th Founding Anniversary on October 2, 2025, at the Adrian Covered Court in Mining, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines, with the themes of Openness, Embracing, and Resilience and Gratitude.

It was a heartfelt gathering attended by families, friends, benefactors, and priests from the Archdiocese of San Fernando, a beautiful testament of God's unwavering love and grace shining through the Sisters’ lives. It was a milestone of faith, mission, and communion.

The celebration opened with the unveiling of the six-decade timeline, a visual narrative that beautifully highlighted the Sisters’ 60 years of service, commitment, and journey with the people of God.

This was followed by a solemn Eucharistic Celebration with presiders Archbishop Florentino G. Lavarias, Archbishop-Emeritus Paciano B. Aniceto, and members of the Pampanga clergy, whose presence and words of blessing gave deeper meaning to the milestone of the Mission Chapter.

In his homily, Archbishop Lavarias invited the Sisters to live in deep gratitude for the many years they have sustained one another as a community and mission chapter. He urged them to imitate the guardian angels – servants and companions of others – reminding them that true service is not just a feeling but a conscious decision and act of the will. He further challenged them to find joy by letting go of entitlement and self-regard, opening themselves more fully to God’s call to serve.

The archbishop’s words reminded the Sisters that the way they love and care for one another can inspire others and draw them closer to God. People will recognize the beauty of their mutual respect and genuine fellowship, he said.

The second day was graced by the presence of Monsignor Cenovio “Sonny” Lumanog, a longtime friend of the Sisters, who officiated the Eucharistic celebration. It was a day filled with laughter, fun, friendship, and community spirit. The Sisters gathered for a Sports Fest, where they showcased their talents in sports, dancing, and teamwork, reminding everyone that religious life is also marked by joy, health, and unity.

The third day brought the celebration to a deeper spirit of thanksgiving through a Prayer Walk and Holy Mass with Father Bien Castill, MSC. Centered on prayer and the Eucharist, the day became a profound moment of gratitude for God’s fidelity and an opportunity to renew the Sisters’ commitment to their mission.

Indeed, the 60th Anniversary of the Adrian Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Remedies Mission Chapter was a renewal of the mission for the future and a remembrance of the past: 60 years of grace, mission, God’s faithful love, and gratitude!
