A Prayer of Belonging
As we gather in the warmth of this sacred season,
our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy.
In this time of reflection, we acknowledge the many blessings
you have poured into our lives—
family, friends, and the simple joys that fill our days.
As we celebrate Christmas, we also recognize
the deep yearning for belonging that fills our hearts.
In a world that often feels divided,
we seek the comfort of connection,
the assurance that we are not alone.
We pray for those who may struggle with loss during this time,
for the empty chairs at the table,
the memories that tug at our hearts.
May we wrap our love around those who are grieving,
reminding them that they are held in God’s care.
As we come together in celebration,
help us to cultivate a spirit of belonging
in our own homes and communities.
Let us reach out to those who may feel on the fringes,
welcoming them with open arms and open hearts.
Inspire us to break down the walls that divide,
and to build bridges of understanding and love.
Let our gatherings reflect an open table,
