March 18, 2016, Santa Cruz, California – Sister Beth Butler, OP, currently involved in Patient Relations at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, spoke in a radio interview of her 60 years in the Adrian Dominican Congregation. In the interview – set up by Radio Station KSCO in recognition of National Catholic Sisters Week – Sister Beth speaks of her ministerial experiences, ranging from serving as Police Chaplain in Miami to her time of teaching criminal justice and her work in security at Dominican Hospital.

September 16, 2015, Santa Cruz, California – Sister Julie Hyer, OP, will be honored by the American Cancer Society at its Sixth Annual Garden of Hope Fashion Show Gala, set for Friday, September 18, 2015. The event is a fund-raiser for patient services for the 1,125 cancer patients in Santa Cruz County, California. A cancer survivor, Sister Julie was president and CEO for 22 years of Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, and a member of the General Council for the Adrian Dominican Sisters. Read the entire article.
