Sister Donna Markham, OP, Notes Catholic Call to Care for Immigrants and Refugees

May 7, 2018, Portland, Oregon – The Gospel calls Catholics to care for the most vulnerable people in society, including immigrants, Sister Donna Markham, OP, told an audience at All Saints Church in Portland. In the Tobin Lecture, sponsored by the Office of Life, Justice and Peace of the Archdiocese of Portland, Sister Donna emphasized that immigrants are “real people with real lives.” Sister Donna is President and CEO of Catholic Charities USA and a former Prioress of the Adrian Dominican Sisters.
