The Division of Education received high marks and full seven-year accreditation for its programs through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation after the Division went through a complicated process of self-study and reports. The Division has received accreditation throughout its history at Siena Heights University and continually works to improve its program.

Carrie Mitchell, Chair of the Education Division, emphasized her division’s focus and how it fits into the mission and spirit of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, sponsors of Siena Heights University. “The Division of Education’s conceptual framework is rooted in our Dominican heritage, with the center of the symbol as the Torch of Truth,” she told The Daily Telegram. “The conceptual framework is the heart of what our programs stand for: responsive instruction, essential knowledge, professional integrity and collaborative leadership.”
