Celebrating the Blessed Fr. Solanus Casey today and remembering Sr. Vozobule who championed Fr. Solanus! I'm sure that she is smiling down from heaven with this great news!
Sister Bernadette was my 2nd Grade Teacher and First Communion Instructor at St. Pius. What joy sister brought to a lonely lost young girl. I still remember her big smile and heart. Sister was instrumental in allowing me to understand the words:My Lord,My God.Eternal Rest Grant on to Sister Bernadette and let Perpetual Light shine on her, may Sister rest in peace.
Our Adrian Dominican cemetery with its circular headstones is a beautiful place of rest for women who gave their lives in service to God — and a peaceful place for contemplation and remembrance.
