(1930 – 2015) Sister Eileen Souva, baptized Eileen Agnes Mary, was born on August 1, 1930, in Brest, Michigan, the fourth of nine children born of Roy and Melvina (Eder) Souva. She attended St. Charles School in Newport for only one year because her parents heard about the quality of education at St. Mary’s School in South Rockwood. More about Sister Eileen Souva (pdf)

Sister Agnes Eileen was the best teacher I ever had. I attended 9 different schools on three states, father was in military. We only lived in Rockwood Mich. for a year. She made a deep impression on me. Mike Marter
