Sister Jean Agnes, baptized Helen Josephine, was born on June 30, 1918, in Des Moines, Iowa, to John and Agnes (Rose) Klemm. She was the eighth of twelve children. Three of the Klemm girls entered the Congregation: Sisters Jeannine, Jean Agnes, and Marcine.
