April 11, 2024, Adrian, Michigan – Adrian Dominican Sister Jeanne Wiest, OP, Director of Worship for the Diocese of St. Cloud, Minnesota, was not always involved in liturgical ministry.
In an article in The Central Minnesota Catholic, magazine of the Diocese of St. Cloud, Sister Jeanne tells of her personal history, from her study of exercise science at Eastern Michigan University to her call to become an Adrian Dominican Sister to her ultimate call to liturgical ministry.
“When people participate in the liturgy, they get to experience a relationship with God,” she told Amber Walling, staff writer of The Central Minnesota Catholic. “They come to experience God’s great love for them.”

March 22, 2024, Adrian, Michigan – What do the works of a medieval theologian and a modern priest and scientist have in common? In Thomas Aquinas and Teilhard de Chardin: Christian Humanism in an Age of Disbelief, Father Donald Goergen, OP, explores what both have to offer to our understanding of God, ourselves, and the world. The presentation is from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Weber Retreat and Conference Center and via live stream.
Father Donald, a Dominican theologian, teacher, and lecturer, has offered retreats worldwide and published numerous articles and books. This presentation is drawn from his latest book, Thomas Aquinas and Teilhard de Chardin: Christian Humanism in an Age of Unbelief.
