January 3, 2017, Henderson, Nevada – A special holiday video on the heritage of Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican hospitals explores the special touch that Adrian Dominican Sisters continue to bring to patients and the greater community. Through interviews with Sisters Michael Thomas Watson, OP, Xiomara Mėndez-Hernández, OP, Sister Victoria Dalesandro, OP, and Sister Carol Elya, OP, the video explores the Sisters’ ministry of compassion, care, and kindness. The video was aired on local television stations on Christmas day. Watch the video.
March 1, 2016, Henderson, Nevada – Sister Michael Thomas Watson, OP, was featured on KSNV TV in Las Vegas recently as “Local Hero of the Week.” She was recognized for her tens of thousands of hours of volunteer service over the span of 17 years at the St. Rose de Lima Campus of Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. In an interview with reporter Christine Kim, Sister Michael Thomas speaks of the blessings she receives from her ministry: walking the halls of the hospital, listening to patients and staff alike, and giving them support and love.
