January 25, 2022, Adrian, Michigan – Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Siena Heights University recently formalized an articulation agreement creating a seamless transfer path for graduates of Wake Tech’s Associate in Applied Science in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology to complete their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology online with SHU Global.
Electroneurodiagnostic technologists, also referred to neurodiagnostic technologists, use electronic testing equipment to record electrical activity arising from the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, somatosensory or motor nerve systems. They typically work in hospitals, epilepsy monitoring units, sleep disorder centers, and research institutions.
"This is such an outstanding opportunity for our graduates," said Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls. "It’s a chance for many to continue on their career ladder and advance in this exciting field. There’s no doubt that earning a baccalaureate degree will open all kinds of doors."
“We are pleased to offer Wake Technical Community College graduates the opportunity to complete their bachelor’s degree online with Siena Heights University,” said Sister Peg Albert, OP, PhD, President of Siena Heights University. “We are excited about this collaboration.”
The articulation agreement is designed to provide Wake Technical Community College graduates equal consideration with other students seeking admission and financial aid. Credit completed at WTCC will transfer towards a baccalaureate degree from Siena Heights University.
The articulation agreement also provides eligible full-time Wake Technical Community College employees an $80 per credit hour discount for undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Siena Heights University.
Students in Wake Tech’s Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program learn anatomy and physiology, as well as medical terminology and laboratory management and hands-on skills to study the electrical activity of the brain and nervous system. Classes take place at Wake Tech’s Perry Health Sciences Campus in Raleigh.
