June 16, 2021, Wilmette, Illinois – Marilyn Wethekam, an alumna of Regina Dominican High School, took what she learned from the all-girls high school sponsored by the Adrian Dominican Sisters and applied it to her career as a state tax counselor. The Sisters at Regina Dominican High School “taught all of us that we could do whatever we wanted to do; we could be whatever we wanted to be,” she said.
The confidence and life lessons that Marilyn gained from Regina Dominican High School helped her throughout her career, first in law school at the Illinois Institute of Technology and then in field of state and local taxes – at first dominated by men. Read Marilyn’s story in Forbes Magazine.
