Adrian Rea Holds First-Ever Carnival
Specify Alternate Text

Adrian, Michigan -- The Board members of the Adrian Rea Literacy Center recently initiated an event to bring together adult learners, tutors, and their families. The Center’s “Carnival” was held to thank tutors for their commitment to teach learners, to honor the learners for their achievements, and to celebrate with each other’s families.

Members of the board prepared and served lunch, and Adrian High School students coordinated face-painting and games for children. In addition, parents and children had  the opportunity to read to service dogs from the community.

Thanks to Board members, participants received gift cards to local businesses, and the area re-bicycle shop provided bicycles to four happy children.

The literacy center community celebration was enjoyed by all.

Great photos and stories, especially reading to a service dog.
