April 18, 2019, Adrian, Michigan – During an event honoring the March 31 birthday of non-violent social justice activist Cesar Chávez, members of the Latino community in Adrian gathered to remember their own involvement in actions to bring about justice for the farmworkers. While they noted the opposition they received from some other community members during these actions, they also recalled the support they received from the Adrian Dominican Sisters.
