October 5, 2020, Wilmette, Illinois – More than four weeks into the new school year – during which students attend classes in person – Regina Dominican High School is free of COVID-19. In televised interviews with WFLD Fox 32 News reporter Roseanne Tellis, Regina Dominican High School President Elizabeth Pattara Schuster attributes the school’s success to the school community’s adherence to the protocols aimed to prevent COVID-19 infections. A student notes the strong sense of community and of care for one another among all who are involved. In a follow-up interview, President Schuster also credits Regina Dominican High School’s identity as a Dominican school with the Order’s values of caritas and veritas: love and truth. “We are focused on the truth, the science, the facts, and the data.” The students also signed a Panther Pledge that they will follow the safety guidelines in school and out of school.
