May 28, 2019, Adrian, Michigan – In response to recent concerns about the quality of water in Lenawee County, Michigan, Pam Taylor of Environmentally Concerned Citizens of South Central Michigan gave a presentation on water quality May 14 at Weber Retreat and Conference Center. Pam spoke of various practices that can affect the safety and quality of water, such as the use of concentrated animal feeding operations and fertilizers and encouraged local citizens to be advocates for clean, safe water. April 18, 2019, Adrian, Michigan – During an event honoring the March 31 birthday of non-violent social justice activist Cesar Chávez, members of the Latino community in Adrian gathered to remember their own involvement in actions to bring about justice for the farmworkers. While they noted the opposition they received from some other community members during these actions, they also recalled the support they received from the Adrian Dominican Sisters.
