Great Expectations

Last Sunday’s Gospel (Mark 5:21-43) told two stories sandwiched together. Both highlighted the faith of those who sought something good. Both people received an answer to their requests. The secret is to BELIEVE in the God who listens to us when we ask for help. 

When we are looking to God for help to decide what to do with our lives, God knows how important that is. BELIEVE that God hears us and knows its importance too. Trust that God will respond in ways we will discover by paying attention, by noticing changes in our feelings or by having helpful people show up at just the right time or experiencing a feeling a peace after we make a choice of which way to go.

Jesus reminded folks of his time to have faith. He also affirmed the faith they already had. BELIEVING is crucial and a gift. God’s action in our everyday lives is real. May we notice it and BELIEVE!

Grandes Expectativas

El Evangelio del Domingo (Mc 5:21-43) pasado contó dos historias juntas.  Las dos resaltaron la fe de quienes buscaban algo bueno. Ambas personas recibieron respuesta a sus solicitudes. El secreto es CREER en el Dios que nos escucha cuando pedimos ayuda.

Cuando buscamos ayuda de Dios para decidir qué hacer con nuestras vidas, Dios sabe lo importante que es. CREA que Dios nos escucha y también sabe la importancia.  Confíe en que Dios responderá de maneras que descubriremos al prestar atención, al notar cambios en nuestros sentimientos o al hacer que personas útiles se presenten en el momento justo o al experimentar un sentimiento de paz después de que hayamos elegido qué camino tomar.

Jesús le recordó a la gente su tiempo para tener fe. También afirmó la fe que ya tenían. El CREER es vital  y es un regalo. La acción de Dios en nuestras vidas cotidianas es real. ¡Que lo notemos y CREAMOS!
