I find fascinating these times of pandemic, the rise and fall of COVID-19 infections, divisions on whether to mask or unmask and social distance or not. That is, when I am not horrified by the persistence of this disease and its variants!

What I’m aware of in myself and as I listen to those I talk to is an awareness of nature’s demand that we pay attention to what’s happening. Some folks say they have been re-evaluating the pace of their lives, the activities and busy schedules they previously kept. I heard a mother interviewed the other day say, “My husband and I don’t want to return to that level of busy-ness. We don’t need it. We’ve realized there is much more meaning in life in the relationships we have than in rushing from one thing to another all the time.”

In this country, just when we thought we were going to be free to interact more, begin to go out and gather in social groups, the disease variants arrived and necessitated more caution again. 

What about you? Are you thinking differently about your life, your choices, how you want to invest your life energies, who may need you to respond to their needs? These times are a way God speaks to us, captures our attention, and asks for more from us. How will you respond? En Tiempos Como Estos

Encuentro fascinante estos tiempos de pandemia, el sube y baja de las infecciones de COVID-19, las divisiones sobre si usar mascarilla o no usar mascarilla y si mantener la distancia social o no. Es decir, ¡cuando no estoy horrorizada por la persistencia de esta enfermedad y sus variantes!

De lo que soy consciente en mí misma y cuando escucho a aquellos con quienes hablo es el reconocimiento de la demanda de la naturaleza de que prestemos atención a lo que está sucediendo. Algunas personas dicen que han estado reevaluando el ritmo de sus vidas, las actividades y las agendas ocupadas que mantenían anteriormente. Escuché a una madre entrevistada el otro día decir: “Mi esposo y yo no queremos volver a ese nivel de ajetreo. No lo necesitamos. Nos hemos dado cuenta de que hay mucho más significado en la vida en las relaciones que tenemos que en apresurarnos de una cosa a otra todo el tiempo."

En este país, justo cuando pensábamos que íbamos a ser libres para interactuar más, empezar a salir y reunirnos en grupos sociales, las variantes de la enfermedad llegaron y requirieron nuevamente más precaución.

¿Qué tal usted? ¿Está usted pensando de manera diferente sobre su vida, sus decisiones, cómo quiere invertir las energías de su vida, quién puede necesitar que responda a sus necesidades?
