This week we are celebrating International Women’s Day and Catholic Sisters Week. During this week, we are invited to remember the many ways that women’s stories have enriched the world and given us hope and inspiration. This is especially true for the Sisters that I have encountered in my life, where I have heard so many stories about the amazing ministries that Sisters have done.

These stories provide us with role models that can guide us through our discernment. They provide us with models of faith and hope that can nourish us when we feel discouraged, and inspire us when we feel stuck. These stories also serve to remind us that, although discernment might take place through conversations that we have with God, that it also takes place within a community. A community supports and encourages us in our discernment while also calling us forth to live lives that are more authentic and holy. I hope that the stories of these Adrian Dominican Sisters will nourish you in your discernment:

El Ejémplo de Nuestras Hermanas

Esta semana estamos celebrando el Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Semana de las Hermanas Católicas. Durante esta semana se nos invita a recordar las muchas formas en que las historias de mujeres han enriquecido al mundo y nos han dado esperanza e inspiración. Esto es especialmente cierto para las hermanas con las que me he encontrado en mi vida, donde he escuchado tantas historias sobre los increíbles ministerios que las hermanas han hecho.

Estas historias nos brindan modelos a seguir que pueden guiarnos durante nuestro discernimiento. Nos brindan modelos de fe y esperanza que pueden fortalezernos cuando nos sentimos desanimadas e inspirarnos cuando nos sentimos estancadas. Estas historias también sirven para recordarnos que, aunque el discernimiento se puede llevar acabo a través de conversaciones que tenemos con Dios, también se lleva acabo dentro de una comunidad. Una comunidad nos apoya y nos anima durante nuestro discernimiento y también nos llama a vivir vidas más auténticas y santas. Espero que las historias de estas Hermanas Domínicas de Adrian le den Fortaleza durante su discernimiento:
