Sister Therese Groulx, known as Sister Marie Immaculate, was born on December 8, 1924, in Sarnia, Ontario, to Alexander and Marie Louis (Ladouceur) Groulx. She and her brother Roger would have had three other siblings had they lived.

Sister Jean Agnes, baptized Helen Josephine, was born on June 30, 1918, in Des Moines, Iowa, to John and Agnes (Rose) Klemm. She was the eighth of twelve children. Three of the Klemm girls entered the Congregation: Sisters Jeannine, Jean Agnes, and Marcine.

Sister Jean Joseph Hughes, baptized Patricia M. Breen, was born on May 5, 1938, in Chicago, to Patrick and Jean (Richards) Breen. Her mother had seven sisters and one brother. Sister Jean knew little about her father because her parents separated when she was two years old.

Sister Eileen Souva, baptized Eileen Agnes Mary, was born on August 1, 1930, in Brest, Michigan, the fourth of nine children born of Roy and Melvina (Eder) Souva. She attended St. Charles School in Newport for only one year because her parents heard about the quality of education at St. Mary’s School in South Rockwood.
