It's all about the journey.
(1946 - 2015) Sister Melba Beine, born on January 5, 1946, in Yates Center, Kansas, was the middle daughter of the three girls born to Walter and Jeanette (Trusler) Beine. Her father came from a family of farmers and operated a grain elevator. Her mother was a homemaker and a musician who played the church organ at First Presbyterian. Dr Melba Beine was my physician for many many years. It's been over 9 years since I've last seen her. I would always tell her, "Please don't ever retire! I don't want to go to anyone else!" She would just nod and smile. She took very good care of me and I miss her dearly. The day Health TX threw her a going away party, I could not muster the strength to say a Final Goodbye. I knew over the years she lost so much weight and something was just not right. She never told me nor did I see it in her eyes. To this day I still remember her smiling and I want to keep that memory of her. I hope she wasn't disappointed that I couldn't say Good bye. But, I knew that would be the last time I ever saw her not only as my Physician but, as a Beautiful Human Being. May she truly Rest In Eternal Peace. Thank You, Dr. Beine
I just learned of Dr.Beine's passing. She served her God, Community and her patients with the same unselfish drive and dedication. She treated my Mom and later me. I Loved her calm midwestern speech. She had a unique way of getting her point across. I look forward to seeing her again when my path in life meets up with her again. Until then I will miss her deeply. But I like to think that a little bit of her lives on in those who knew and loved her.It doesn't matter where you are going it's knowing how to get there.
