April 4, 2016, Frankfort, Illinois – Sister Nancy Murray, OP, helped the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart to celebrate their 150th anniversary with her one-woman portrayal of Sister Dorothy Stang. She has portrayed Sister Dorothy, a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, nearly 50 times, bringing to life the woman’s dedication to the people of the Amazon and to Earth and her resulting martyrdom. April 1, 2016, Detroit – What seems to be an ordinary Easter ritual to many people brought great joy to Detroit children and their families as they gathered at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen to dye Easter eggs. The annual event is organized by the soup kitchen’s Rosa Parks Children and Youth Program, directed by Sister Nancyann Turner, OP.
